Bathroom Design

In a home, the bathroom is the place that many people have different opinions about. Some take the room as  the place where you wash. Others as the one where you relax, or start your mornings. Either way, it does not  mean that it does not have to be a stylish place.

For me, the bathroom combines the necessity of being clean and relaxing. I think the bathroom is one of the places in your home that says a lot about your personality.

An ideal bathroom design must combine your necessities with your conception of comfort, and your personality. It is not always a must for the bathroom design to integrate in the home style, as it is a room 

with another functionality that the rest, it can be treated as an individual.

When designing a bathroom you must keep in mind the proportions of the objects you want to include there,their use and efficiency. Try not to make it too crowded and to keep a flow of what you need to use    ( ex. put the bidet next to the toilet). Choose if possible, a room that has at least a small window. If there isn't one, then integrate good artificial light and do not forget about the ventilation system. 

You are not obliged to keep the old standards and fill the walls and the floor with tile. Think where a splash of water may happen and you can use it on that sector. You can complete the empty sections with other type of materials, but keep in mind that more than 3 material in one room is too much. Also be attentive at the textures and colors, they can be opposite, but they must come together as a whole at the end.

As the quality of the materials has evolved a lot in our days, you can find now even wallpaper that it may be used in high humidity environment like the bathroom, or even special treated wood that resists in contact with water.

If the bathroom is small you can include a big mirror which will make the room appear as larger, and double the light effect.

You can add a nature touch with some plants ( ex. fern and orchid resist very good in this environment , or a personal one with some family pictures, or a place you have some books you read when your taking a bath. If you are a romantic one or someone who likes the spa then make a niche,or put a small table where you can arrange some candles or bath oils on.
